Solis finally has its own battery, and it has reached Pakistan.

If you have bought a Solis inverter in Pakistan, you know the routine. The inverter arrives, it works well, and then you choose a battery from a different company — Soluna, Dyness, whoever has stock. It works. We have installed plenty of systems that way and they run fine.

But you are joining two manufacturers who never designed for each other, and you find out where that matters on the day something needs adjusting.

SolisStorage launched on 6 March 2026, and the low-voltage IntelliHome line is now available in Pakistan. We can supply it.

What the IntelliHome battery is

Eight thousand cycles at 90% depth of discharge is a serious number. Most lithium batteries in this market quote their cycle life at a shallower discharge, which flatters the figure. At 90% you are being told what happens when the battery is genuinely worked.

Why a matching battery actually matters

This is the part that gets skipped in most product announcements, so here is the engineering answer.

A lithium battery is not a passive box. It has a battery management system inside it that has to tell the inverter what is going on — state of charge, cell temperatures, how much current it will accept right now, when to stop charging. That conversation happens over a CAN connection, and the inverter has to understand the dialect the battery speaks.

When the two come from different manufacturers, somebody has to make that conversation work. Usually there is a compatibility profile, and usually it is fine. Sometimes the profile is out of date, or the firmware moved, or a setting has to be entered by hand and nobody wrote down which one. We have been called out to plenty of lithium systems that were installed by someone else and never charged properly, and the fault was almost never the battery — it was the conversation.

Same brand on both ends removes that question. The profile is factory supported, the firmware is tested together, and when something needs looking at there is one company answering for it rather than two pointing at each other.

Note the two numbers side by side. The battery sits between 44.8 and 57.6 volts; the inverter accepts 40 to 60. The battery lives comfortably inside the inverter's window with room at both ends — it is not running against a limit. Both are IP66, so the pair can go on a wall in an ordinary utility space rather than needing a clean, dry room built around them.

At 9.6 kW of PV on a 6 kW inverter there is real headroom for oversizing the array, which under net billing is usually the right move — you want the generation to cover your daytime load on ordinary days, not just on perfect ones.

Who it suits

A household or a small commercial site that wants a hybrid system built from one manufacturer, with a single warranty chain and one place to go when it needs attention. If you already run a Solis inverter and you are adding storage, this is now the straightforward answer.

What we would still tell you

A new battery does not change the arithmetic that changed in February. Under net billing a unit you consume yourself is worth the full retail tariff you avoid paying, and a unit you export is worth Rs 8.13. Storage is more valuable than it was, because it moves your own generation into the evening instead of selling it for a fraction of what you will pay to buy it back.

But it still has to be sized against your real load. A 16 kWh battery on a house that needs 6 kWh of backup is money parked on a wall. We measure before we quote, and we will tell you if the smaller one is the right one.
